Students Learn Digital Fabrication at Bayfront Maritime Center
May 28, 2011 The new ShopBot CNC digital fabrication equipment is up and running with Erie, PA, high school students in the Bayfront Maritime Center Boatshop, a community-based educational center. These kids are learning valuable 21st century workplace skills. First they design a project using a Computer Aided Design (CAD) program. This data is then converted into a Computer Numeric Control (CNC) toolpath to run the digital fabrication machine. …
